Our sister site, Skiing Magazine posted a photo gallery called The Women of Jackson Hole: 10 of the best women skiers on the planet. The images come from Jackson photographer Heather Erson’s project called “Revealed: Jackson’s Skiers and Snowboarders.”

The athletes showcased include Warren Miller stars Lynsey Dyer and Charlotte Moats, Olympic ski racer Resi Steigler, former Olympic mogul skier Hannah Hardaway, ski mountaineer Kit Deslauriers, ski guides Jessica Baker and Julia Niles, big-mountain competitors Jess McMillan and Crystal Wright, and telemark skier Lisa Watson.
We asked Lynsey Dyer why she chose to buy a home in Jackson, Wyoming. “I live in Jackson because it’s the most beautiful place to come home to,” Lynsey says. “My commute to the mountain alone gives me all kinds of ideas for art and photography projects. I’m continually inspired. This place also keeps me humble, from the massive terrain and crazy weather; even getting to the airport is often an adventure. One certainly can’t get soft living here—I appreciate the challenge.”
